Interesting Example of Moving From Pay for Performance to a Fixed Wage

I found this one from the Facebook sidebar.  Not everything there is junk.

  1. We actually covered on the topic of servers' performance and their pay in my other classes. We studied an article that compared the tipping culture across the globe and the article found that the quality varies and it depends mostly on the customs of the country. Generally, serving quality goes up when it's established that server either expect tips or do not, and quality goes down when the expectation of server are not clear.
